Penny the Dragon
Penny the Dragon was designed by Martin Hunt and constructed with the help of
Brain Hirst, Monica Dare and Barbara Mahalek. She is a prototype to demonstrate
that the body structure actually functions. What we wanted to accomplish with
Penny was to see if we could make a sinuous form that seemed to float. She had
her first run at Illuminaries, in Vancouver on July 29, 200. Look for her next
at the Circus of Dreams in McLean Park on September 2, 2000.
